What is solar PV?
Solar photovoltaic (PV) panels are fitted to a roof, or sometimes to a frame on the ground, and generate electricity from daylight. That electricity can power your lights and appliances, and any surplus can usually be exported to the grid, subject to the arrangements available from energy suppliers.
